The Result
By adapting the learning resource into an interactive format, I scaffolded and chunked the information in an easier-to-digest manner.
This instructional resource made everyone happy:
The students enjoyed "playing" the pinball game while reviewing important concepts
The teachers valued the time and effort they saved while still preparing students for the test with an important review
The stakeholders (parents and administration) were pleased with the noticeable decrease in test anxiety and the increase in scores

The Problem
As state testing approaches, motivating students to review assessed content and skills becomes increasingly difficult for teachers.
The Solution
I created this interactive guide by modifying an infographic template designed to simulate the experience of playing a digital pinball machine found on Genial.ly.
I provided teachers with a just-in-time learning resource to share with their students. I gave them various options for sharing, such as sending it directly through email or Canvas Inbox, sending it as a text message using Remind (an academic communication app), or posting the resource on Canvas by embedding it into an announcement or directly into a prominent section of the course home page.
The information included in the resource was adapted from "The FSA Essay: Tips to Slay the FSA." Although the original two-page instructional resource was packed with valuable information, it was very dense and unappealing to students, which made it suffer from cognitive overload.
